Evilvillage

From Werewolf Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The majority of the people in this mode are followers of an evil cult and are trying to take over the village in collaboration with the wolves. This flips the typical Werewolf experience on its head by making special villagers the main targets instead of trying to oust the wolves.

Abstaining is disabled in this mode.

Win Conditions

Wolfteam wins by eliminating all village team roles. Village team wins by eliminating all wolves. They don't have to eliminate the minion to win.

If all wolves and village team members are eliminated at the same time, nobody wins.

If those conditions aren't yet met, village team may be able to meet some other win conditions:

  • If all cultists are eliminated, village team wins
  • If village team equals or outnumbers wolfteam, village team wins

Strategy

Village team should stay hidden, and not claim in channel. Instead, pretend to me a cultist. Seer may be able to see another teammate and coordinate in private. If seer sees the wolf, and doesn't yet know the hunter, then claim this in channel. But cultists may also pretend to be seer to confuse the hunter / shaman. If hunter and shaman both die, not all is lost, village can still win by surviving until all cultists are dead.

Wolfteam should protect the wolf at all costs. When minion is in play, they should always claim on behalf of wolf, to keep the wolf's identity hidden. Otherwise, cultists should try to guess who the village team is on their own, taking care not to accidentally vote out the wolf. At higher player counts, there are two wolves, but there are also two hunters, so minion should still lead.
